Previously, I’ve mentioned that those of us who often dabble in creative spaces understand burnout is real. Therefore, crochet wellness and burnout prevention is something we all need to spend a little more time on, especially if we are deep into our hobby or crochet businesses.

Burnout can negatively impact the creative process, cause unnecessary stress, and make you lose focus on your current goals. There are a few areas in this post that I want to remind you of, so I made it easier with sections and multiple bullet points.

Sometimes we have to psych ourselves up to do something. It’s completely normal for us to be this way at times, but it can be more difficult if your current environment is stressful. So it’s ok to play it safe and set goals for yourself that you know will be achievable to work your momentum back up. Check out some of these ideas you can start today to whip your mind back into action.

  • Celebrate small victories in a way that is helpful but also fits your budget
  • Create reward systems when you hit specific milestones
  • Practice positive self-talk! (positive and inspirational memes are great for this!)

Red Flags and Intervention

It’s important for you to frequently check in with yourself. Therefore, knowing the red flags can help you troubleshoot and solve any issues before they get too out of control.

  • Develop a way to personally intervene when if feels like you’re declining
  • Create exit strategies that support you and your work when you need to step away
  • Take breaks! (It’s ok to do this!)
