Yarn Halloween Colors

So many different shades of your classic Halloween colors are perfect for projects this time of year. Oranges, purples, greens, black, white, and even trying glow yarn will help your projects stand out! Try this Red Heart Glow Yarn for a fun project! Hobbii also has their Halloween Dahlia Friends Halloween Yarn available this season as well! The color changing is fantastic and vibrant!

Display Ideas

I’m pretty sure you know where you can put finished products to showcase in your living space, but here are some additional ideas. Stuffed items can go nicely on bookshelves and tables. Garland is great on doors, walls and windows. Tapestries look great on the wall in rooms where you do most of your entertaining. Place coasters on tables and side tables for a pop of color . Table runners are also great choices to spruce up your table for a gathering or party! Just remember that these items are made of yarn and other assorted materials, so remember safety rules when displaying these objects near heat sources and electrical, etc.

Making Your Patterns Kid-Friendly

There are so many great ways to make any project more “kid friendly”. Choose bright colors. Kids love bright and interesting color combinations. Soft yarns are great for younger children for cuddling! Be sure to use appropriately placed safety eyes on any amigurumi, or to be even safer, embroider your own features and keep the safety eyes for other projects. Avoid other small details (buttons, beads, etc) as they can pose a choking hazard for kids. Also simple shapes make projects easier to grab and carry around.

Summary

Be sure to have fun while exploring and creating autumn themed decor. Whether your are celebrating a holiday or you just love the season, have fun and try different patterns and projects! I’d love to see your finished projects! Be sure to subscribe for more fun ideas!

  2. These are so cute! I love decorating for Halloween. So many of these can be used different ways too. I like adding simple garland to the banister on my stairs and sometimes I use a table runner like this on my kitchen island.
